Raid on a Ruko in Cipete Linked to the Blackout Case, Police Seize Documents and Computers
Geledah Ruko di Cipete Terkait Kasus – On the evening of Thursday (9/7), officers from the Corruption Prevention Division of the Police (Kortastipidkor) and Polda Metro Jaya conducted a search at a commercial building located on Jalan Asem II, Cipete Selatan, Cilandak, South Jakarta. The operation is connected to several suspected corruption cases, including one involving coal-related corruption that triggered power outages in certain regions.
“We have secured various documents and computers, along with other items. The team is still in the process of identifying and cataloging all the evidence collected,” said Kombes Pol Budi Hermanto, head of the Police Public Relations Division, at the scene of the raid early Friday (10/7) morning.
Budi revealed that the ruko, which is the 13th location searched in this series, was found empty. To gain access to the third floor, investigators cut the chain and opened the door. “First, we broke the chain, then we opened the door. The ruko has three floors, so we needed to ensure access to the upper level,” he explained.
The police emphasized that the entire operation followed legal procedures. Local residents were also present as witnesses. “You can see that there are witnesses from the community here to confirm the search process adhered to the required legal documents and court orders,” he added.
